The program begins in April with the Lagoa Festival, an initiative dedicated to gastronomy, with the participation of restaurants from the parishes of Foz do Arelho and Nadadouro.

In this second edition of the festival, visitors will be able to enjoy the gastronomy of Lagoa de Óbidos, along with “sporting, musical and cultural activities for the whole family”, as well as “the kite festival, where young people can build their own kite” and watch a “giant illuminated kite show at sunset”.

Among the new features of this summer’s program, is the expansion of “two music festivals”, in two different parishes: “FozBeats” in Foz do Arelho, and “DunaBeats”, in Salir do Porto.

“DunaBeats”, which aims to contribute to the promotion of the “Salir dune, one of the largest in the country”, will occur on June 22, with performances by “Corda Bamba Rock Covers”, “Smells Like the 90s” and DJ Tiago Bandeiras.

“FozBeats will take place in Foz do Arelho, from July 17 to July 20, however, entry is no longer free due to “security issues and crowd control”.

In accordance with the municipality, the maximum capacity of spectators per night should be around 15 thousand people.

The festival has a budget of €220 thousand, with the Câmera das Caldas da Rainha estimating “a financial return of more than €100 thousand”, through the sale of daily tickets for €5 and a four-day pass for €15.

In addition to these festivals, the summer program includes a motor racing event on April 28, a national kitesurfing event and the “Big Air Open”, on a date to be announced.

In terms of sports, there will also be an athletics event on May 11, a triathlon on June 10, a stage of the Portugal Beach Handball Tour from July 6 to July 7, a Joaquim Agostinho Cycling Prize event on July 12 and the “Trail dos Flamingos”, a race which will take place on September 8.

On dates to be announced, football, beach tennis and volleyball circuits will also take place.
