TPG – Scott Lebovitz has been appointed partner and head of infrastructure for TPG Rise Climate. In this new role, Lebovitz will focus on the firm’s new strategy targeting investments in infrastructure and real assets that are critical to global decarbonization and energy transition marketplaces. Lebovitz comes to TPG after more than 25 years at Goldman Sachs where he most recently served as a partner and global co-head and co-CIO of infrastructure investing in the firm’s asset management division. He will join TPG in the second half of 2024 and will be based in New York.
Bouwinvest – Annemarie Maarse has been appointed head of asset management, effective 1 June 2024. In this new role, Maarse will be responsible for the overall asset management of Bouwinvest’s Dutch real estate investment portfolios. Maarse is joining Bouwinvest from Achmea Real Estate, where she performed similar work as director of asset management. Prior to joining Achmea Real Estate, Maarse was head of residential asset management at Altera Vastgoed.
BlackRock – Anne Valentine Andrews, who spent the past nine years, most recently serving as managing director of global head of infrastructure and real estate at BlackRock is leaving to join Manulife Investment Management as global head of private markets. Christoph Schumacher who joined Manulife in mid-2021 as head of the firm’s global real assets, private markets business, has left the company. Andrews served on its global operating committee, human capital committee, and the equity private markets executive committee at BlackRock. Prior to BlackRock, she was co-head and COO of Morgan Stanley’s infrastructure platform and worked at Macquarie Bank in both Melbourne and New York.
Arjun Infrastructure Partners – The European mid-market infrastructure manager has appointed Misha Nahorny as a managing director. In his new role, Nahorny will be responsible for originating and executing infrastructure investments in Europe. Nahorny has 13 years of buy-side experience in infrastructure at investors including John Laing, Swiss Life and OMERS. Prior to that, Nahorny was a member of M&A advisory teams at Royal Bank of Canada and Citi. In addition, Arjun has expanded its investment team with the hire of Yi Huang as a principal and Boris Botachev as an associate. Huang joined from Palladio Partners, where she was an investment manager focused on direct infrastructure equity investment in Germany. Botachev joined from Macquarie Capital, where he was part of the principal investments team.
Savills Investment Management – Hsueh Ling Ng has been appointed to the new role of head of APAC ex-Japan. She joins from Lendlease, where she has held the role of managing director and country head, Singapore, for over six years, and also recently the additional role of chair of Lendlease Global Commercial REIT Management. Prior to this, she spent eight years as CEO of Keppel REIT Management.
Chancerygate – The urban logistics property developer and asset manager has appointed Michael Treliving as its CFO. Treliving joins from specialist UK logistics and industrial property business PLP where over the last five years he established and oversaw the company’s finance and operations function. He brings more than 15 years’ real estate finance experience including roles at AXA – Investment Managers, EY and the Grosvenor Group. At Chancerygate, Treliving will be responsible for overseeing the company’s corporate finance activity for both its UK and European operations in line with its market growth strategy.
CBRE – Jorge Ruiz has been appointed head of the hotels, Iberai. The senior director of hotels, Spain will now be responsible for managing the business across both Spain and Portugal. Duarte Morais, head of hotels investment properties for Portugal has been appointed head of hotels, Portugal. Blanca Martín, head of hotel valuations, Spain will also extend her role across Iberia, working closely with Frederico Borges de Castro, head of valuations, Portugal.
DigitalBridge – Christian Belady has been appointed as a senior advisor. In his role, Belady will provide strategic counsel to DigitalBridge in support of the continuing development of the firm’s global data centre portfolio. Prior to joining DigitalBridge, Belady served as VP data centre research and development for Microsoft’s cloud infrastructure organisation. Belady has been a key founder or contributor to a number of industry organisations and standards, including ASHRAE, The Green Grid, and iMasons Climate Accord.
Nuveen – Jay L Rosenberg, head of public real assets and portfolio manager for Nuveen Real Asset Income and Growth Fund will be retiring. Rosenberg will remain a portfolio manager until 31 March 2024.
UKAA – Legal & General’s David Reid has been confirmed as chair of its committee for the build-to-rent single-family housing sector.
CREC Real Estate – Kurt Gatterdam has joined the private equity real estate investment firm as controller to oversee all accounting activities, including cash, investment and risk management, for the firm and its affiliate property management company, Fourth Street Residential. Prior to his role at CREC, Gatterdam served as CFO at NAI Ohio Equities, and VP of finance for Fillmore Capital Partners. He has also held numerous treasurer roles at companies including Papa John’s International, DSW Designer Shoe Warehouse and Tween Brands.
Howard Kennedy – The London law firm has appointment of Beth Myers as a partner in the real estate team. Myers has over 15 years’ experience in the commercial real estate sector. Myers also acts for several clients who have portfolios of commercial premises across the UK providing them with insight and advice on all aspects of lettings and asset management, sales and acquisitions and development. Myers joins Howard Kennedy from Cripps.
Vision Ridge Partners – The global real assets investor has promoted Rob van Es to partner and Christina Scalzo to managing director. Van Es joined Vision Ridge in January 2015. Previously, he served as M&A strategy senior manager at Accenture, and earlier served as a business advisor to non-profits in the US, Australia, and Europe. Scalzo joined Vision Ridge in September 2022. Previously, she was a VP of M&A and strategy at Vistra Corp. and has served in corporate development and principal investment roles at SemGroup, Bregal Energy, and Energy Capital Partners. She began her career in investment banking on the natural resources team at Goldman Sachs.
