Booming Games has made its entry into the Portuguese gaming market after receiving the necessary certification to operate in the region.
The provider obtained the certification after achieving full compliance with the regulations set out by Portugal’s gambling regulator, Serviço de Regulação e Inspeção de Jogos Turismo de Portugal.
Licensed gambling operators in Portugal will now be able to gain access to Booming Games’ portfolio of titles, such as Gold Gold Gold, TNT Bonanza, Cash Pig, Buffalo Hold and Win, and Space Cow to the Moo’n.
CCO at Booming Games Frederik Niehusen said: “We’re thrilled to have secured full certification in Portugal, a key step in expanding our presence in this rapidly growing market.
“We look forward to leveraging this achievement to drive sustained growth and deliver gaming experiences to players across Portugal. 2024 is an exciting year for us, and we will deliver more updates shortly.”
Portugal is proving to be a key market in Europe in 2024, with a number of deals occurring in the region.
Betway launched in Portugal in January, powered by a partnership with GiG, while in February MGA Games partnered with Solverde.pt to extend its presence in the region and last month 3 Oaks Gaming obtained the certification necessary to operate in Portugal.
For Booming Games, this marks another key expansion for the company, which has seen some significant deals in the likes of Denmark and Spain, but also on a more global scale, partnering with BetFounders in the African market.
