Must read

According to Publituris, on 23 July, EGYPTAIR returned to operating a route between Lisbon and Cairo, which has two flights per week on an Airbus A321neo aircraft and which is part of the expansion plan of Egypt’s flag carrier.

“The new service to Lisbon is part of EGYPTAIR’s expansion plan. The airline has recently added more destinations to its extensive network, serving more than 70 destinations worldwide, such as Zurich and Prague in Europe, Fujairah in the Middle East, and Abidjan, Djibouti, and Mogadishu in Africa, offering passengers multiple connections from Lisbon to explore the world with EGYPTAIR,” said Amr Adawy, VP Commercial at EGYPTAIR.

Francisco Pita, Commercial Director of ANA|VINCI Airports, is pleased with the return of the route between Lisbon and Cairo, a connection that, according to him, “will promote stronger ties” between both cities, “encouraging both tourism and business travel”.

“I am particularly grateful to our teams, as this new route is the result of their work together with the airline and other partners,” adds Francisco Pita.

It should be noted that, from Cairo, EGYPTAIR offers connections to several destinations in Egypt, such as Luxor, Aswan, Sharm El-Sheikh, and Hurghada, as well as to other countries in Africa, the Middle East, and the Far East.

Like TAP, EGYPTAIR is also a member of the Star Alliance, so this new route will “significantly increase connectivity with markets beyond Lisbon and Cairo”, with passengers enjoying seamless transfers and an extensive network of destinations, making travel more convenient and efficient.
